Advanced Machining Capabilities

Machining for Large and Complex Components

Our machining department provides a comprehensive range of precision machining processes designed to handle large and complex components. We offer CNC turning, manual turning, deep hole boring, tube boring, honing, straightening, and sawing, supported by modern equipment and experienced machinists. These capabilities allow us to machine a wide variety of tubular and cylindrical components used across demanding industrial sectors. From high-precision finishing to heavy-duty machining of long components, our facilities are designed to deliver consistent quality, accuracy, and reliability.

Turning and Large Component Handling

Our turning capabilities cover both manual and CNC machining for a wide range of component sizes. Manual turning can accommodate 50 mm to 730 mm OD in lengths up to 9 metres, while CNC turning handles 50 mm to 700 mm OD in lengths up to 10 metres with precision tolerances of ±0.125 mm.

With multiple overhead cranes with a capacity of 10 tonnes, we are well equipped to safely handle large and heavy components while maintaining consistent machining accuracy.

Machinery and Equipment

Our workshop is equipped with a strong range of specialist machinery to support high-precision and large-scale machining. This includes 13 deep hole boring machines, two hollow spindle CNC lathes with 250 mm through-spindle capacity and boring bars up to 150 mm diameter, and eight manual lathes ranging from 2 to 9 metres between centres.

In addition, we operate two hydraulic presses for straightening and four large-capacity saws to support efficient material preparation and finishing processes.

Specialist Boring and Honing

We specialise in deep hole and tube boring for long components requiring precise internal diameters. Our high-speed boring capability covers diameters from 25.4 mm to 310 mm ID in lengths up to 10 metres, while tube boring ranges from 30 mm to 530 mm ID, also up to 10 metres in length, both achieving tolerances of ±0.25 mm.

For applications requiring superior surface finish and tighter precision, our honing capability ranges from 50 mm to 350 mm ID in lengths up to 8 metres, achieving tolerances of 0.05 mm and surface finishes between 0.3–0.4 Ra.
